Description

The Toolbox: Developing, Presenting, and Evaluating Speeches

By Dana LaMon, 1992 World Champion of Public Speaking,

Leadership Roundtable Toastmasters invites you to our Spring Open House

Monday, June 5 from 6:00-9:00

Did you enjoy the Spring series of International Speech and Evaluation Contests? Dana will share his Toolbox on how you can refine your skills in both speaking and evaluating in this interactive workshop held during a dinner meeting. The four course meal is included in the event cost. Reservations required in advance for this limited seating event - book now!

Dana LaMon earned the distinction of World Champion of Public Speaking in 1992 with his speech titled "Take a Chance." In this award-winning presentation, he offers ways to get passed the barriers of fear, comfort, and indifference that keep us from winning the jackpot from within.

In 1993, Toastmasters added to Dana's honors the Accredited Speaker designation, an accolade given to a Toastmaster who demonstrates professionalism in speaking. Since the beginning of the Accredited Speaker program in 1981, fewer than seventy Toastmasters have earned the award. Dana is one of the only Toastmasters who has become both World Champion of Public Speaking and Accredited Speaker.
